## About
Advanced AI Society is the industry association for companies building verifiable AI, a category of AI security. Our goal is to make verifiable AI publicly definable, commercially procurable, independently certifiable, and broadly insurable so that verification becomes the default for every AI system. We bring together the companies building verifiable AI technologies and the enterprises that need them.

## Key Definitions

### Proof-of-Control
Proof-of-Control is the spectrum of AI verification, from Self-Verifiable to Independently Verifiable to Cryptographically Verifiable. Companies earn Proof-of-Control certification at the stage that matches their technology. The Proof-of-Control Standard defines the third stage: cryptographic verification.

### The Verifiability Gap
The absence of independent evidence of what AI systems actually do. Coined by AAI Society.

## Goal
To make verifiable AI publicly definable, commercially procurable, independently certifiable, and broadly insurable so that verification becomes the default for every AI system.

## The big WHY
In a world where AI agents outnumber humans and make autonomous decisions at scale, proving what happened through verification is the non-negotiable foundation for trust.

## The Five Domains of Proof-of-Control
Proof-of-Control applies across five domains: Privacy, Portability, Verifiability, Security, and Identity.

1. Buyer Activation: Events, briefings, and vendor-neutral evidence for enterprise adoption
2. The Proof-of-Control Initiative: The first shared standard defining cryptographic verifiability (co-chaired by Ken Huang)
3. Insurance Activation: Producing enforceable standards, auditable evidence, and credible eligibility for AI risk underwriting

## Enterprise Affiliate
ProofWorks is AAI Society's enterprise affiliate. It bundles member technologies into integrated solutions for enterprises building a verifiable AI stack, with applications including sovereign AI, agent identity management, and provable compliance.

## Market Context
